We are no one special, we just love animals and learning about how to care for them, ourselves and our land. This small dream is one to secure the future for my family; moved thousands of miles from everything we knew to start fresh and build something that could maybe outlast us. Striving to learn more about how to take care of the animals, make herbal medicines to help ourselves or even just growing our own food to not be solely dependent on mass production. We moved down the coast a couple thousand miles in 2022 with nothing but a small trailer of belongings and our 3 cats - all just to realize, we had no idea what we were doing!

Who Are We?

We had to build a home and all that came along with that simply by figuring it out and doing the thing; especially since we had no WiFi for 2 years! Despite all the curve-balls thrown at us, we got through it and built our tiny home with our ever growing family of delightful creatures.

So we hope you follow along with us on our journey to create our little weirdo dream farm while we educate, advise and entertain you! As I’d like to extend my crafting, chicken and maybe even recipe knowledge on you (I wear many hats) which can all be found in the announcements tab.

Quick Facts

We offer fresh LF Cochin and Bantam Cochin hatching eggs and chicks that you can pick up right on the homestead! In terms of shipping things, now that’s a much longer list! I make handmade organic soaps and other fun crafts like jewelry, embroidered items and much more when I find the time. Hopefully once the Spring rolls in we can host local Farm Swaps!

Which services do you offer?

A question I ask myself almost every day! But really, we moved down here with just 3 and slowly over time the rest just kind of found their way to us one way or another. We are not the kind of people to turn away an animal especially one that’s in need. Needless to say that’s why our house is packed now!

Where did my craft journey begin?

Well I’ve always been an artist in some capacity and have dabbled in basically anything I could get my hands on before I could even decide if I liked it or not; but I found soap-making mid 2019 while living in Philly and it took so many trials and all the errors but I fell in love. I had always mixed my own body oils so I got curious one day and fell down a Google rabbit hole for weeks. After many different recipes, two kitchens in two states, I think I finally got the hang of it!

This is absolutely the most new hobby I’ve taken up which didn’t happen until I moved to SC in 2022 and my mother gave me a set of 20 Guinea Hens to help with the bugs on the property. I had no idea what to do for them so naturally I went to Tractor Supply, got them some things and as I was leaving I was stopped by one of the employees! There was 1 lonely Sapphire Gem chick that they didn’t want to leave overnight so I took it home with us. Then the chicken math hit hard.

Met during Covid-19 Lockdown and have been inseparable ever since - the best fur-dad, my coop builder and trench digger. This man may get on my nerves and I’m sure he could say the same about me, yet we always have each other’s back no matter what! I couldn’t have imagined making this journey with literally any other person. The only reason I haven’t entirely given up is this man right here so everyone should thank him for keeping me going!
